Darvin "Dolphin" Morrison was born on Route 66 in Groom, Texas and was raised on the family cotton farm near Lubbock. The lessons of nature, spirit, and human potential were taught to him daily by the inherent beauty and challenges of living and working on a farm. He received further teachings from his "jack-of-all-trades" father, rich in common-sense and life wisdom, and his loving mother, a gifted first-grade teacher with strong intellectual abilities. The result was a well-rounded education on many levels, filled with rewards of spirit and tuned to the true meaning of life.

Early aptitudes in music and all types of intellectual pursuits kept Dolphin in a primarily introspective mode. This was further influenced by his hyper-sensitive, empathic nature, which left him reluctant to interact with people. Being so attuned to the emotions of others, he would sense the repressed feelings from those around him, unable to either ignore those feelings nor get others to acknowledge their own emotions. His domain thus became one of spirit and "imaginary" friends, beings of beauty and light who were constant companions and protectors. For the most part, Dolphin feared and avoided his intuitive abilities, unable to explain them to others or reconcile them with the nature of the world as perceived by everyone around him.

Following the normal societal course for intellectuals and the ultimate goal of a high-paying job, as well as needing constant challenge and intellectual stimulation, Dolphin attended college, then law school, working as a paramedic during his law school years. As he focused on matters of the mind and societal influence, he ignored things of spirit and heart that had been his constant comfort and support in early years. Of course, as he neglected his essence, life began to lose its deeper meaning. Even a brush with death in his diagnosis with Hodgkin's Disease (a cancer of the lymph nodes) had little effect on his awareness. Coming in Dolphin’s sophomore year of college, the cancer was treated quickly and its impact soon faded from his reality.

Six years later, just 2 months before his graduation from law school and his "great new life", Death returned in the form of a recurrence of the cancer. This blow struck at the core of Dolphin’s being. No longer able to ignore the inner pains he carried nor live life unconsciously, Dolphin sought the guidance of a cancer therapist. This spiritual teacher gave him "Journey of Awakening" by Ram Dass, thus beginning Dolphin's spiritual self-exploration. A key moment in the counseling sessions occurred when Dolphin questioned the existence of God, and everything he had been taught to believe fell apart like a cheap erector set. Without God as the foundation of his world, nothing was certain, nothing could be counted upon. Dolphin had to start from scratch.

As he has embarked on the search of all souls for true meaning and purpose, Dolphin explored a vast variety of healing techniques and practices taught by Masters of all types. The lessons he learns are for his own healing as well as developing his abilities to support others in their healing. Some of his greatest teachers were dolphins. At one organized group swim designed to explore the psychic possibilities between the species, his telepathic abilities were awakened in significant experiences with the dolphin. Those heightened intuitive abilities are the core of Dolphin’s healing potential. He has also learned first-hand from a medicine man in the Amazon, Tibetan monks, Stanislov Grof, Hanna Kroeger, Carolyn Myss, Tom Kenyon, and various other healers from all categories and specialties. An experience at a workshop in Austin (where a shamanic aspect of Dolphin’s consciousness came forth and intuitively performed powerful healing on the workshop participants) further catalized his healing awareness. Finally, after practicing law for 13 years, and shortly after the unexpected death of his father, Dolphin followed his heart to Austin, feeling called back to music and healing.

Dolphin's focus is on empowering you and supporting you in connecting with your inner guidance. The core of his practice is his belief in surrender to Divine Grace and allowing it to work through him for the benefit of all. He constantly reminds you that the same abilities and awareness he exhibits are available to all who sincerely seek and cultivate them.
